How do I get a profile picture?
Take a selfie on Your account, and Maestro draws it as a print for your picture.
Take a selfie
- Open Your account and select Take a selfie. Your browser asks to use your camera; on a computer or phone without one, choose a photo instead. On a computer you can also paste or drop a photo onto the selfie screen.
- Look at the camera and take the photo, or take another until you like it.
- Select Draw it. The drawing comes back in about half a minute.
- Select Use this one, and it becomes your picture on your account button and in your courses' study bar.
You can draw up to eight a day. Any drawing from today stays on the selfie screen, so you can go back to an earlier one. If you stop waiting for a drawing, it still shows up there when it comes back.
If the camera is blocked
On an iPhone, open Settings, then Safari, then Camera, and choose Allow. In Chrome on Android or a computer, select the icon at the left of the address bar, then Permissions or Site settings, and allow Camera. Then open the selfie screen again, or choose a photo instead.
Your photo
Before your photo goes, the selfie screen names the company that draws it. Maestro keeps the drawing, never the photo, and deletes a drawing you don't keep after a day. Who processes what has the details.
Remove takes your picture away, and your account goes back to its plain circle. Your Maestro can also tell you about your picture, keep a drawing or remove it for you.
If you teach on Maestro, the Picture section of Settings works the same way, and your picture shows only on your own account button.
