About Maestro

Maestro is where Sergio Sánchez publishes his courses on data and AI, in Spanish and English. Every course comes with your own Maestro: a 1:1 guide that knows the course's skill map and answers from whichever page you are on.

Why a 1:1 guide

In 1984 the education researcher Benjamin Bloom found that students who learned with a one-on-one tutor did about two standard deviations better than students taught in a regular class: the average tutored student outperformed 98% of the class. Maestro brings that kind of help to every learner in a course.

Each course starts from the skills you will have by the end, laid out as a map. Your Maestro works from that same map, so its help follows the way Sergio teaches the course instead of generic answers.

How the courses work

Each course is a one-time purchase. You study at your own pace, page by page, and ask your Maestro whenever you want to: about a paragraph, a chart or a Python exercise. Courses read in Spanish, English or both, and your Maestro answers in the language you choose.

You have 7 days from your purchase to ask for a full refund, for any reason. Write to hola@heymaestro.app and we return everything you paid. This includes courses bought in pre-sale. See all the courses.

Who teaches: Sergio Sánchez

I'm Sergio, chekos online. I've worked with data for about ten years, mostly at mission-driven organizations: policy research first, then education, and now early childhood services. In 2018 I started tacosdedatos to share what I was learning, and since then it's been a blog, a podcast, courses, guides, and a community. These days I spend a lot of my time building with AI agents and writing about how I organize my work around them. I share what I've learned; you take what's useful and make it yours.
