A friend sent me a link to a course. What do I do?

If the page says your friend invites you to learn together, it's an invite to their group, where each of you pays your share. If it says they saved you a seat, your friend already paid for it. If it says the group has closed or is full, you can start your own right there.

If it's an invite to their group

You'll see "Join for" and a price. That's the most you'll pay, and less if more friends join, up to five of you.

  1. If you're not signed in, type the email you'll sign in with. That's where your course will be.
  2. Tap "Join for" and save your card on the next page. Nothing is charged or held yet.
  3. The course opens for you right away. Tap "Go to the course" and, if you're not signed in, sign in with that email. New to Maestro? Your account is created with it.

You pay once, when the group closes, and its page shows the day. You can't leave before then, since everyone's price depends on how many of you there are.

If your card doesn't go through when the group closes, you keep the course and pay for your seat later, from the group's page or from "Your courses".

If your friend paid for your seat

You'll see "Your seat is paid". Tap "Open it with your email", or "Open the course" if you're signed in. New to Maestro? Your account is created with that email.

If it says "This seat is taken", someone already opened the link. If it was you, the page lets you sign in with that account. If it wasn't, ask whoever sent it for another seat's link, or buy the course from that page.

Good to know

Either way, you get the whole course and your own Maestro, an AI tutor.

If the page says the group has closed or is full, tap "Start your own group" right there and send your link to whoever you want.

Already have the course? You don't need a seat. If your friend paid for one, tell them to send the link to someone else. The seat is still free.

Nobody else in the group sees your email.

On another phone or computer, sign in with the same account.

Typed the wrong email? Write to hola@heymaestro.app and we'll sort it out.
