How do you know it's right?
Download the bakery file and meet the question you'll answer throughout the course.
Free course. Your Maestro, an AI, .
Asking AI for an Excel formula is a good idea. It saves you digging through forums to find what order the parts of VLOOKUP go in (in Spanish-language Excel it's called BUSCARV). And to know whether it came out right, you don't need to know more Excel either. What you already know about your numbers is the starting point for deciding what to check.
In this short course you'll answer a single question, in several ways: how do you know it's right?
What you'll do
In the first module you work with a bakery's sales sheet and a formula the AI gave you. The formula runs, every row has a price, and the total shows no error at all. It's still wrong, and you'll find out why with three steps:
- Check a few rows by hand.
- Try to make it fail.
- Reconcile with a number you already know.
In the second module you find out these steps already have names in data engineering, you learn to ask the AI for the formula with its test included, and you take the same three steps to a table an AI agent made. The rules are the same whether a chat or an agent made it.
Before you start
Open the example link. In Drive, download a copy for Excel; for Google Sheets, save a copy to your Drive before changing formulas. If you cannot see those options, ask your Maestro for help. The workbook has the Ventas (sales) and Precios (prices) sheets and already includes the formulas: on the next pages, review or retype them.
You need to be able to open a sheet and copy a formula; your Maestro can guide you if needed. Work on your copy to preserve the original example.
If anything doesn't add up along the way, ask your Maestro, the AI tutor that's with you on every page.
